Byron Bay is the coastal home of spectacular beaches, world-class festivals, a vibrant and happening community and of course, A-list celebrities. Byron Bay should be on every traveler's bucket list. Byron Bay has a wide array of stunning beaches to explore, including Belongil Beach (which stretches from Brunswick Heads to Byron Bay), Kings Beach (swimming only on calm days, clothing optional), and Wategos Beach (Little Wategos located at the end of the Cape below Byron Bay’s iconic lighthouse is Australia’s most easterly beach).

Speaking of the Cape Byron Lighthouse, this little gem is a must visit when exploring Byron. Offering sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean, the lighthouse (which was constructed in 1901 and stands at 94m above sea level) is one of the  town’s most visited tourist attractions, and for good reason. Enjoy the steep 3.7km walk to the lighthouse and be sure to check out the exquisit sunrises over the ocean from the peak!
